Project Description
Small Open Spaces
The ubiquitous “open concept” is a trend that keeps entertaining, cooking, and people – connected. Functional and cozy, the following spaces make visual connections with color, texture, and contrast.
Architectural elements are used in small bedroom to add storage and shelving; tonal variations of blue and green were used throughout the 850 square foot condo; a 1960s art studio painting is a family heirloom; a shell collection on a vintage shelf accents a wall in the kitchen.
Tones of taupe in wo seating areas – one for reading, one for screen time; The subtle color scheme is accented by a diamond pattern rug, and a pale celadon coffee table. The Dining Area lacked architectural interest and the kitchen lacked storage, a combination buffet, pantry, desk top
New England meets the Orient with a pair of subtle grey A Rudin sofas, on a colorful blue oriental rug. A pine table and high back Windsor chairs, are lit by a modern drum pendant. A taupe grass cloth accent wall ties the two areas together.
