Project Description

Designer Showhouse

Interior Design and Decoration projects for The Junior League of Boston’s Designer Show Houses provides a setting for designer’s to show-off their creativity, as well as, give back to the local community by supporting the event. JLBoston was established in 1906 to promote volunteerism and train young women in civic leadership.

Hermes-inspired orange coat the walls in a subtly-texture glaze in the 2005 Country Modern Guest Room in Canton, MA. Warm and modern, simple and sophisticated, furniture symmetry and monochromatic finishes has a calming effect. Décor details include Swedish-modern headboard, a multi-colored stripe bench cushion, and full height curtain on a continuous black metal rod.

An antique “cloak room” is transformed into a whimsical Roman Bath in 2012 Ode to Ancient Rome in Newton, MA. The tile-patterned canvas floor cloth was designed and painted by Jeanne Finnerty. Wallpaper columns are installed 42” apart. A pair of rusty spherical pendants cast mysterious shadows on the narrow space. The space is an example of creative hand-crafted and DIY.
